Here at Vyrnwy Christmas Trees we have a small flock of Pedigree Shropshire Sheep. The Shropshire breed of sheep originated from the hills of Shropshire, and North Staffordshire, England, in the 1840s.

Shropshire Sheep are soft mouthed and therefore do not eat or harm our Christmas trees, because of this we are able to not use any pesticides to control grass and weed growth around the Christmas Trees.

As you can see from the above photographs, we also produce lambs on a yearly basis, this has led to us having our own pre-fix ‘Afon Glas’.

Our aim for 2020 is to show our home bred Ewes, Shearlings and lambs.
